Time on My Hands would like your help!
As year one of this very rewarding project comes to an end, we would like to involve many more people in year two, which is focusing on the 1960’s. In Hornsea, we would like to speak to people who worked at Hornsea Pottery, in Withernsea, we want your memories of dancing in the Pavilion, and the amusement arcades, and in Hedon stories of life in the town
There are many ways you can get involved, and we are always happy to welcome you to our local museums, or to come and have a chat with you in your home if you would prefer.
You can:-
Tell us a story (we help you plan your story and then record it on video tape)
Share your photographs (we scan them and you get them straight back)
Loan us items which we can use in our reminiscence kits (old tools, domestic items, photographs etc)
Learn transcription skills to help us write the stories down
Learn movie making and basic computer skills
Introduce us to a friend who can do any of the above!
Films from year one are now on view in Hornsea, Hedon and Withernsea Lighthouse museums, and if you want to add your story, just get in touch with Project Officer Lyz Turner. You can contact her through any of the museums listed above, email lyzt@msn.com or telephone 07828 870342.
