The displays in the Photograph Exhibition Room show archive photographs and postcards of the locality.
Here the visitor can see rare photographs such as the tented Hornsea Coliseum Skating Pavilion, the "gravel snatchers" , thatched cottages in Mappleton or Seaton, and the old post offices in Skirlaugh and Hornsea.

Whilst it is difficult to recognise the scenes portrayed in some of the photographs, many show that there has been little change over the years apart from costume and transport.
Displays are updated regularly and so return visits are recommended so that the full extent of the archive can be appreciated.
A further archive is available to the public and is situated in the Museum Shop. This is organised and run by the heritage Group. Prints of their photographs are available for sale.
