Volunteers

Volunteers are needed to help with our education programme for schools covering life in Victorian times ( see educational visits and Victorian activities ).

The main requirement is that you enjoy working with Primary age children. All necessary training will be given.

Voluntary helpers are always needed to man the Museum reception and shop area. A friendly manner and the ability to handle cash are essential, but otherwise training will be given 'on the job'.

Volunteers are also needed for a variety of behind the scenes work including: cataloguing collections, maintenance and other types of museum work to be arranged. the main qualification needed for this work is enthusiasm!
